Pour yourself into me and I will not let a drop of you hit the ground
– Rudy Francisco
Do not fall in love with people like me.
I will take you to museums, and parks and monuments,
and kiss you in every beautiful place,
so that you can never go back to them
without tasting me, like blood in your mouth.
I will destroy you in the most beautiful way possible.
And when I leave, you will finally understand,
why storms are named after people.
– Gabriel Gadfly.
Have you ever heard the wonderful silence just before the dawn? Or the quiet and calm just as a storm ends? Or perhaps you know the silence when you haven’t the answer to a question you’ve been asked, or the hush of a country road at night, or the expectant pause of a room full of people when someone is just about to speak, or, most beautiful of all, the moment after the door closes and you’re alone in the whole house…..Each one is different, you know, and all very beautiful if you listen carefully. – Norton Juster
At the moment The lake district is blue skies and wall to wall sunshine which is terrible for my B&W photography, I am just waiting for a summer storm, praying for a weather front. I am taking a long walk around Derwentwater tomorrow and guess what, more good weather……grrrr……
