Disconnected somehow…

I see the landscape change before my eyes
The features I’ve been navigating by
No, nothing looks the way it did before
I don’t know where to look or what to look for

I feel like I just don’t know you anymore
But I’ve been burned and I’ve been down so many times
We walk in circles – the blind leading the blind
We’ve been disconnected somehow

Had I the Heavens…

“Had I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.”

Don’t let someone steal your tenderness…

Being tender and open is beautiful. As a woman, I feel continually shhh’ed. Too sensitive. Too mushy. Too wishy washy. Blah blah. Don’t let someone steal your tenderness. Don’t allow the coldness and fear of others to tarnish your perfectly vulnerable beating heart. Nothing is more powerful than allowing yourself to truly be affected by things. Whether it’s a song, a stranger, a mountain, a rain drop, a tea kettle, an article, a sentence, a footstep, feel it all – look around you. All of this is for you. Take it and have gratitude. Give it and feel love. – Zooey Deschanel
